Social Channel Group

I entered the freelance space to venture into different industries and challenge myself in the various areas of marketing. In October of 2024, I came across the start-up digital marketing agency Social Channel Group. The big-tech, B2B space was not a field that I had much opportunity to explore yet, but I knew it held a lot of potential for new knowledge and growth. So, I set up a call to meet with founders Eric Mizsanyi and Adam Fyffe and pick their brains about being entrepreneurs in this sector. Wanting to scale their business and introduce new perspectives, they invited me to be their Social Media Specialist for the Spring semester!

In my time with SCG, I leveraged tools like LinkedIn, AI, and industry reports to generate engaging copy and graphics for the B2B/Big Tech space. I utilized HubSpot to efficiently manage content across all four of their channels: LinkedIn, X, Instagram, and Facebook. I used it to schedule weekly posts, interact with audiences such as those who left comments, and analyze reports to determine the strengths and weaknesses of content.

I successfully increased interactions by 704.35% and impressions by 275.44% across SCG’s four social media accounts in my 13 weeks of work. Working in this industry allowed me to experiment with different AI models, including ChatGPT, Perplexity, Sora, Lumen5, and Microsoft Copilot, generating more than just ideas, but also tangible content like videos.

At the same time, I was leading the Client Team Program for AMA at UGA, and I was able to connect SCG with a team of tech-savvy, experience-seeking members. These students spent the semester working with Eric and Adam to create a Digital Marketing Diary to launch to their clients. I am so grateful that I was able to offer my connections to two people who have provided me an experience to grow professionally.
