I’ve known Janet for almost a year now. Her company has been a client for AMA in both the fall and spring semesters of our previous school year. I have loved overseeing the work our members executed for QUADSis and watching them win the competition in 2024. Janet and her co-founder, Stephanie, founded QUADSis in 2022 to address the real-world issue of needing larger shoe sizes in appropriate styles for their growing daughters. Now, as their girls are transitioning out of their tween years, Janet is ready for QUADSis to do the same.

The old site had a lot of content on the Home page, as it also functioned as the Shop and Blog page. The wording and testimonials reflected younger tween girls in their middle-school years. It was a slow-functioning site that also wasn’t responsive to different screen sizes (including mobile). I knew there were many opportunities to upgrade the look and feel of QUADSis. Not only did we switch Janet over to Shopify from WooCommerce, but we gave QUADSis a whole new focus while maintaining its originality and story. Using the updated photography from the Spring 2025 client team and some new copy, we shifted the QUADSis target from the tween/teen audience to young women. We also created outlets for prospective affiliates and wholesalers to get in touch and automatically receive special perks.

While WordPress has its perks for more content-rich websites, Shopify is the must-have platform for e-commerce. It makes integration with platforms like Instagram, Google, Pinterest, and TikTok, where the shoppable features are booming, so simple and streamlined.

Shopify has been quite the learning curve (for me and Janet both), but the tools it has for analytics and automation are seriously next level.
